This car started its life as an RS2000 Police car used by the Merseyside Police. As you can see from the list of events this car has competed on International Rallies, 2 Lombard RAC Rallies & various Hillclimbs/sprints. And still with its original bodyshell.

Will Onions then bought the car from Keith in 2007 & gave J T MOTORSPORT the task of rebuilding the car to compete on the 2007 Roger Albert Clark Rally ( RAC ), marking its 25 year anniversary from when the car first competed on the Lombard RAC rally, & then to compete in the 2008 British Historic Rally Championship.

The colour scheme you can see the car in  is that of when it competed on the 1982 Lombard RAC Rally as part of Team CSMA.

The rebuild started by stripping the bodyshell of all paint & body sealer. This then showed how good the shell actually was considering all of the stage miles it had done. Every part of the shell was still original even the floor pans and inner wings. Basically the bodyshell was as it was when it left the factory but now with a bolt in rollcage and a flat front as opposed to the heavy, expensive RS slopping front. We then took the shell to O'GORMAN FABRICATIONS to have rear turrets, diff tunnel, exhaust tunnel,P/H rod tower,4 link boxes & full weld in rollcage etc fitted to a very high standard.
